Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Sarah had a curiosity for beauty at a young age. She was introduced to her first red lipstick at age five when performing for a dance recital. The glamour of makeup really intrigued Sarah and was something that was very exciting for her. Growing up Sarah had a love for art which included pastel painting, water colors, and sketch drawing. In her early teens, Sarah began practicing makeup looks on herself as well as her girl friends. Makeup became Sarah’s creative outlet to express herself. It really boosted her confidence in those awkward teenage years. Upon graduating high school, Sarah had a plan to attend the Make Up Designory in Burbank, California. Determined to follow her dream she said, “I am going to be a makeup artist, I am going to turn my passion into a career.”
In school, Sarah learned all aspects of makeup from basic beauty to character makeup. After completion of the Masters Course at MUD, Sarah began taking jobs right away. She gained experience on short films, music videos, photo shoots, fashion shows, weddings, and TV series. While freelancing gave her the experience she needed, it didn’t always provide financial stability. She knew she needed a way to make money while still being able to freelance. This is when she decided to get a job in retail cosmetics. Working in retail provided Sarah with endless knowledge on the latest products and trends. It also as gave her lots of experience with different skin tones, facial features, and skin types. While continuing to work part time in retail, Sarah decided she was ready to learn something new that she could apply to her career as a makeup artist. In the summer of 2014, Sarah began Beauty College to become a licensed esthetician. Having this license opened many doors for her over the next few years. This eventually led her to an exciting opportunity to travel to New York for a luxury cosmetics brand. This is where Sarah realized exactly which direction she wanted her career to go.
With over 8 years in the makeup industry, Sarah has found her true niche in the world of beauty. She now specializes in bridal makeup, print work, music videos, special events, and is a personal artist to a select clientele. Sarah sees beauty in every person that sits in her chair. She uses makeup as a tool to enhance your features, and transform you into feeling like the best version of yourself.
